Default Computer question?

Want to know when I turn my computer on it loads all the icons and then does nothing can't click on anything, the mouse moves but it wont load anything. I have to reboot about 3 times or so for anything to work. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks

Sounbds as if its trying to load things that are stalling out.

Have you ever used msconfig?

Using msconfig you can turn off certain or all startup stuff, and by prcoess 9of elimiation, you can find what is the hang up.

Go to msconfig, click on the startup tab and disable all, reboot and see if that helps.

Yes. They are just programs that startup when you start Windows up. None are programs that Windows relies on.
