Default Computer Problem, needs troubleshooting.

My neighbour called me and said her computer is acting up, her kids were in a game when the computer suddenly shutdown and now it takes forever to boot up although it does boot up. Can anyone tell me a few things this could be before I head over there and mess it up even more? thanks.

If your equation requires either a complex combination of variables to get the desired result OR you can't seem to get the result regardless of the variables....it ain't your variables, it's your constant.
