Hey guys.

i recentley bought a GPU for my inspiron 580s

here is the card

CompUSA.com | 900273 | Visiontek Radeon HD 4350 512MB DMS-59 Low Profile

my CPu specs
inspiron 580s
6gb ram
3.2ghz
core i5
1TB harddrive
intel(R) Hd graphics
windows 7 home premium
64bit

basically i cant get the CPU to recognize the card. There is no option in the BIOS for the integrated graphics and supposedly the cpu is supposed to automatically disable intel r hd graphics and activate the GPU when somehting is plugged into the x16 pci slot

really hope someone here can help

No, go into the bios again look for advanced configuration setup for video and disable your onboard, then you enable pci-e x16. :)
That video card will handle perfectly fine in your system as I have had one over a year ago.

Also, how is it not detecting them? Will the computer not even show a display when you boot?

What wattage of PSU do you have?

You're making sure to plug the monitor into the new GPU and not into the onboard like you were before, correct?

Ive triple checked and there is no options in the BIOS for any type of video

my cpu has a 250w PSU wich is fine for the card

yes i have the GPU and the monitor connected

What BIOS do you have? Have you booted up with the new card in and looked in the device manager to see if it shows up?

no it doenst show up in the device manager

ive tried resetting the CMOS and that didnt work either
