Computer Monitor no longer showing ANYTHING.

While playing a video game on my computer, my computer crashed while I was playing. When I restarted it, the first few screens to rebooting looked "altered". There were blue lines all around, and things flashing, as well as random letters with accents covering and blocking stuff. The attempts after this to reboot, are not any better. Now, when I reboot my computer, nothing shows on the screen.. at all. Yes, the monitor is working, and the connections are fine. Any idea's on what this could be....

You answered your own question, by giving the information. Screen works, and all connections are fine. Screen is connected to a computer that crashed while playing a video game. I would almost guarantee your video card is toast. I've had this happen with an old Nvidia card overheating, with weird accents, and symbols showing trying to boot. Check your video card...
