My PC is constantly crashing. I've changed the processor, and video card, but it still crashes. My PC is idle, on the windows logo, then I get a black screen and nothing. Sometimes when I reboot, it won't come back on either. I know the processor was part of the problem cause the heat sink fan was too hot to touch with the old one. I don't have that problem with the new one, but it's still giving me a black screen. The only other option I can think of is that it's the motherboard as well. Anyone have any other suggestions?

What OS? System specs?

Also, have you tried formatting? If it's loading windows it may be a software issue.

It's an AMD 1300, with windows 2000 Pro. On board vid card, 256MB RAM. It's an older one, but it works well.... well, most of the time, lol.
