Whenever I play World of Warcraft my computer gives out one beep and then 10 seconds later it freezes up and shows me the blue screen of death. This usually happens when I play for more than an hour and has been happening for the past month. Sometimes the computer won't startup and will give a beeping sound before the BIOS screen even loads up and then the screen will go all fuzzy. Does anybody know the problem? Will a OS reinstall help?

My system looks like this:
AsRock 939 Dual-SATA2 motherboard
AMD 3700 2.2Ghz
1GB Corsair ram
ATI Radeon X1800GTO2
Maxtor 300GB HD
40GBHD-System HD

Would the hard drive be the 40gb hard drive be the problem, the beep seems to come from it? The hard drive is 6 years old and maybe it's showing its age.

A sign of an old hard drive possibly dying, is a clicking noise.

It could be that your computer is overheating, causing it to freeze up. Or the BSOD, could be due to faulty memory.

How many beeps do you hear at startup? Describe the beeps. Long, short...
