J jeremy Fully Optimized Messages 1,533 Mar 18, 2006 #6 you noticed this *slowdown* the first time you powered on the pc today? if you did then it might be a software you installed yesterday , anyway if its not a software you recently installed then its possible your pc got infected by spyware download blacklight http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/FSecure_BlackLight/1110906204/1 scan with it and clean what it finds (if it finds any at all) , also download hijackthis http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html click "do a system scan and save a logfile" and open a new thread at this section http://www.techist.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=126 and copy & paste it
