Greetz to all.

My computer is not starting and im not sure what the reason is. It first started as a complete inability to power up, hiting the power button the computer didnt respond at all. I suspected the power unit so i bought a new one (550W as i have a ****load of HD-s and CD/DVDs inside) and replaced it. Now i get some response from the unit as the computer starts up for a short time (3-4 sec) bud then powers down again.

All the fans start up normaly (CPU fan, Casing fan, PU fan) and all looks normal but just wont stay on.

P.S. I get a very silent buzzing noise from the mainboard(i think). When i put my ear inside the comp i hear the buzzing but barely. Its kind of an ambulance melody (Tiii Naaa) but in a buzzing sound.

I removed all unneeded hardware (LAN/WLAN/Sound card), inserted another graphics card, inserted another ram module into a unused memory slot, and disconnected all HD/CD/DVD except the boot HD(tried another HD also), so im guessing its none of the above.

Any ideas what it could be, and what i can do to fix it?

Thx in advance.

What are the specs of the computer? Motherboard, ram, processor.

Try taking out all the ram it should stay on giving you an intermittent beep. Then put it back in. Try changing ram slots. Make sure processor is position right with no bent pins. Power on the computer and feel the processor see if its very hot.
