Comp turns off straight away.

got new mb and cpu put it all in switch it on powers up and turns straight off it like has a burst of power through it then goes off. i went to maplin's got a new atx case same problem even the guy there said its that.

I don't think the case would have anything to do with it, unless it was grounding out. Speaking of which, you did use those brass spacers to seat the motherboard, right?

Could be a bad powersupply, a bad motherboard, a bad CPU, a bad connection...there's a lot of things it could be.

yeh im using the brass thingys =P why? also my ram is 667mhz and the mobo i think only supports upto 557 or somthing could that be why?
