Alright, so the other day I was on my computer, not doing anything that would stress it out (only chatting), and suddenly my tower makes a click noise (sort of sounds like the mild click noise it makes when I first turn on my computer), and then a few seconds later it made the sound again, which was followed by my computer completely freezing up on me. Couldn't do anything. I restarted, and checked the startup diagnostics, and nothing was reported to be wrong, faulty, or missing. It hasn't happened since (probably 2 ago), but obviously I'm a little worried.

Here goes the specs:
-------------------------------

Pentium 4 3.2GHZ on ASUS p4p800 SE
GeForce 6600GT
1024 MB DDR RAM
Zalman CPU cooling
80GB Western Digital HDD
Windows XP Home SP2

I just recently bought my HDD, and I'm not sure if this might be a sign of it being faulty or whatnot, but any help would be awesome, thanks!

sounds like a dying HD, download any of them and make a boot cd/floppy out of it and run the program on system boot

Western Digital Data Lifeguard 5.04f,
Western Digital DLG for Windows 1.07.01
