Unhappy Chip Fan Failure ?

Asus A8N-e
Athlon 64 4000 San San Diego 939
Xaser III tower W/ 7 factory fans
Coolermaster 550 W power
2 Gig Memory
7800GTX video

Problem; when I shut down puter and then boot up later I get a Black screen first with info about puter , mem video, sound ect. But at bottom is message " Chipset fan is failing or slowed down, choose F1 to ignore or escape to cancel" . first time i canceled . but rebooted and same thing so used F1 and the bootup continued as it always had in past. Do u think this pertains to processor fan or another chip on M/B ? I havnt had anything unusual happen while im using puter for normal gameplaying and surfing .
Could this be some kinda false message?
