changing motherboard

hi, i would like to know if its possible to change motherboard without reinstalling winXP sp2 the new motherboard will be the same model as the old one , it will only be changed due to a faulty RAM slot.

I don't think you'll have to reinstall windows, but to be safe I'd make a back up of anything you don't want to lose. but again, I don't think so

there should be no need to re-install windows.

Just match the bios settings from the bad mother and you should have no problems.
