Hi All,
This is my first post in this forum.......so am sorry for any mistake(if any).

I have Dell Inspiron 1100 Notebook.
Here is the config of the same:

Processor: Mobile Intel Pentium 4 (2.80GHz)
Memory: 512MB
HDD: 60Gb
CDRW/DVD Combo: Samsung CDRW/DVD SN-324S
Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition(5.1) SP2

My problem is that my CDRW/DVD drive is not detecting my DVD....but my Audio/Data/VCDs are being detected correctly.

I installed the Power DVD which came with the Dell, but still its not working.

This problem started sometime back when I had to format my system and reload the Operating System. After doing this, everything went fine, except that whenver I insert a DVD rom, the PowerDVD gives me a message "No File in D:"

I have a CD with some .VOB files (some of my Video Backup).
Those are playing absolutely fine.....as in when I insert my CD, PowerDVD plays those .VOB files without any problem.
But on inserting a DVD, no files are shown in D:.

Can anybody please suggest whether what could be the problem? Is this related to DVD Drive H/W or the S/W problem?
