Default CD rom wont read blank cdr's anymore..

heres all thew info on the cd drive

(on box it says) Artec BKM-52

anyway, it used to read and burn cdr's.. but now it reads everything BUT empty cd's...slightly aggravating since i have a final due tomorrow and i need to burn my movie onto a cd..

oh yeah,,.. in case it matters im using "TDK" 700mb CD-R's

for some reason this worked for me when i had this same problem:

i uninstalled nero 6 and installed nero 7...then my drive read blank CD-Rs again

try uninstalling all cdrom burning programs and reinstalling them/a newer version

no clue if that was the problem...i don't see how it could be...but hey it worked for me.

thats interesting because i have nero 6.. im uninstalling it right now....
