CD Drive Problem

Hi. I have a Sony Vaio PCG-GR370 and somehow the cd drive is not reading any cds or dvds. The model number of the cd drive is GCC-4080N. It has been working over the years until now. Everytime I put a cd in, it seems to load for a bit then stops. Ive tried opening the cd program through My Computer but it seems as though the computer did not read anything. I NEED HELP!!

if its an old systems, the cd drive could have just broke. i mean open it up and check the molex connector and the ide cable but since its spinning its prob not the molex which is the power. the ide cable could be out a little and causing the problem if those are both good its time for a new drive.
