Default cbfs file system??

I purchased a maxtor one touch II external USB Drive. This drive came formatted as FAT32. Within windows I reformatted it as NTFS and my computer shows it's formatted NTFS. It's strange that when I plug this USB drive to a different computer the properties on this drive show it having a CBFS file system and the free drive space is zero. I googled CBFS and came up with little or nothing. Has anybody heard of such a file system? I'm think that my other computer is beginning to go downhill as it becomes pretty quirky at times.
