Default Case fan power?

Do you use the molex connectors for case fans or the smaller connect that plugs into the mobo?

Does it make anydifference as far as speed of the fan or taxing the mobo too much?

Default Re: Case fan power?

If your motherboard has extra 3 pin plugs for fans, and your fan has the sensor on it. It allows the speed to be automatically or manually adjusted by temperature. If you use the 4 pin molex, the fan will spin at its max rpm. Either way is fine.
