cant get audio on my new build

Down by the speaker icon in the taskbar it says no audio device installed.

I installed the realtek drivers on the mobo cd and didnt work. Tryed the updated version on the msi site and same thing.

Keeps giving me an error of 0x000000FF

Im getting really frustrated ive never had a problem installing sound before.

Im like 90% sure i heard a windows beep sound while the cd was installing.

Don't use the drivers on the CD.

Use the one on MSI's site.

Have you tried uninstalling the driver (tick the "Delete drivers" checkbox as well), and then reinstalling the Realtek drivers?

Can you give us some specs of your system?
Like brand name and model if it's a purchased pc or the motherboard brand name and model and revision numbers? Please tell us if your using a video card and the specs of that too
