Cannot access Hard drives

ok, i've got somewhat of a problem here that i cannot access any of my hard drives from my computer except the drive which i'm running XP from. on clicking the drive in my computer i'm just getting an error message stating that access is denied.

any help would be absolutely amazing, thanks


quick update.

I have tried a system restore back to a point where i definitely know they worked but no luck.

Also it seems that there is only a problem with the icons in my computer as i tried writing the path to files on each HD in the explorer and it has worked.

you could consider reinstalling windows if icons are screwed up

urgh, i'm on a pretty fresh install as it is only did it couple weeks ago.

oohh, could you possibly try the drives on another system?

havn't really got access to another computer at the moment and it can't be a single drive problem as i'm getting the error message with a 1gb usb flash drive aswell
