My system Specs are

ALiveXFire-eSATA2
TWIN2X2048-6400C4 and TWIN2X2048-6400
5600+ Amd X2

That's 2 x 1Gb and another 2 x 1Gb sticks with a bit different timings.

when i put 2 Sticks it works fine.
When i put 3 Sticks it works fine

But when i put the 4'th stick in the System either doesnt boot at all or just simply crashes when i start an appplication and is extremely unstable.

Tried:

Increasing the timings to the most stable timings possible....
Nothing.
Reduces ram speeds to the lowest speeds...
Nothing.
Tried all the rams one by one. They are fine no problems with the rams.
Nothing.

All i've got left is to Update my Bios but i doubt that will work.

So anyone had any similar experience?

Did you try different combinations of RAM in different slots? It could just be that one of the modules is bad.

I've tried all Combinations of ram in slots.
My System Supports 4 gigs of ram.
I'm running Vista 64

Same slot giving you an error? Have you run memtest on all sticks?

I'm know, obscure, but like you i'm really not sure what the issue could be.

Have you tried only that slot? Does this happen no matter which slot you use as the 4th. Also, you might need to increase the voltage on the northbridge.

I know that some motherboards will allow 3 banks to be filled, but not a fourth. Read it in my Mike Myers A+ book.
