Can not install Win7 from UFDs

Please move or remove this post if this post is inappropriate.
Thank you!

Netbook.
CPU:Intel Atom processor N280 (1.66 GHz, 667 MHz FSB )
RAM: DDRII 1GB
HDD:160GB(SATA, 5400 rpm)

Current status:
HD is partitioned: C 60GB & D 60GB & F 30GB.
HD is set to IDE in BIOS for installing XP.
Windows XP Pro sp2 on C partition operates now.

What I want to do:
Installing Windows 7 Pro on this netbook.

What I have done:
1. Win7 installing UFD is made by WinToFlash.
2. Win7 installing UFD is made by WinSetupFromUSB.

Failure:
Have tried both UFDs installing Win7 on the netbook and both have failed.
Both failed at the same point of the installation, that is, they could not recognize the HD.

Question:
1. Is it because of the IDE setting of the SATA HD?
2. How to set it back to AHCI? (I set it back to AHCI but did not work.)
3. Must everything be wiped off the HD prior to installing Win7?

Help, please?

Vicky

Mam, most of what you got, is not going to work like that.
Microsoft Store Online

If you have the original windows 7 installation disk, use that tool I provided and copy it to the usb.
If your going for x64 & x86 install you will need 4gb flash drive for it to format and make a bootable one.
For your netbook, I would recommend you use your main hdd for the install.
Do a full format as it will help the installation process go along smoothly.
If you wanted to, you could install your programs to a usb device if your on limited on space.
I recommend about 16gb or 32gb flash drive SD-HC card for normal stuff you use every day.

You have options and its highly doable matter of fact I am working on a net project again.
Let us know it how goes from there.
