And fixing it will probably cost just about as much as a new monitor, unless you can find the panel for that model you have for cheap on eBay.

Mainly depends on what you have available for used monitors around you .

Man 1080p standard size monitors are so crazy cheap these days that I wouldn't stress it. I know you're across the pond but a local shop around my house sells used electronics and they always have 23/24" 1080p good name monitors for like 50 or so bucks.

thats true, found loads of used 1080p monitors that are <45
