Default Boot Up Problem

i just inserted a new 256 ram in my computer and so i got 512 ram and everytime i turn on my computer nothing loads up,and then i gotta restart the computer and then it loads up.

it could be that new ram...remove the old one and try using just that new ram

CMOS battery is my guess. most computers instantly recognise new RAM and will boot with it. in rare cases some recognise it when you turn the comp on and then have to be rebooted.
