I recently built a computer, but when I try to boot it up, BIOS doesn't start up and there is no signal to the monitor. I have narrowed it down to two problems. The motherboard was purchased used, so I'm not sure it there was a BIOS system in it. The other problem it could be is that my CPU isn't supported. The board is an ECS 661-FXM and supports P4 processors. The CPU I have is a Celeron. Both are socket 478. Could this be why the computer won't boot?

this may sound strange but if you could please do this it would help. remove all ram and turn the pc on, does it beep?
