Default boot manager for seperate hard drives

I have a striped raid array of two sata hard drives and a single ide hard drive running independantly. i have windows installed on the raid and linux installed on the ide. the ide drive also has some of its space partitioned to be used in the windows os. is there a boot manager that will detect os's from the raid and the ide, or will i have to make a partition in the raid for the linux os. thanks for the help.
