I've connected my wireless Bluetooth headphones a few days ago, they worked fine. Now I tried using them today and I've found that my system reads that the headphones are paired but they don't show up in device manager or volume mixer.

Moreover, I can't seem to uninstall the device either. Any ideas?

You should take it account that any obvious solutions have already been exhausted.

Go to control panel, navigate to hardware and sound click that once.
Find your device that is suppose to work, right click on the icon.
Left click on properties hit ok, now go to the hardware tab.
Screen shot what the status of the hardware is in right now.
Host the screenshots up with photobucket so that I can see it.

Once you do that we'll be able see anything it tells us so we can try to remove it.
Also what kind of headphones do you have and what is the brand name of it ?
