Blue Screen of Death

oh, I have a cheap static wristband from radio shack, but thanks for reminding me. So far no problems but I have a thing for jynxing myself. So far it only blue screened after idleing on the screen saver but its too soon to talk. I'm going to let it idle for a while to see what happens.

It happened again, the blue screen of death, well, I removed one memory stick and testing it out, after that, I will check the other one. I guess I really jynxed myself.

This is what it says when I put my windows XP cd in to try to reinstall.

"Setup did not find and hard disk drives installed in your computer"

Did you plug your IDE cable at the right slot?

its a SATA cable

The thing is, that on the CMOS, it has things like IDE MASter and IDE Slave, there is nothing for SATA. But my mother board has 4 slots for it.

well, my cmos wont even come up, I guess I screwed up, well, I guess I no choice but to take it to a computer shop. I am so mad right now, should just bought me a computer, if I knew this **** was going to happen.

I got it to come back up, those anybody know how to change IDE to SATA, i believe this is the problem?

Should I just buy a new hard drive?
