I have an old system, about 5yrs old in fact. It has been running perfectly fine, like new up until yesterday.

I booted up, and it went straight to a black screen with the Specifics of my video card:

x300 128 mb blah blah

and it doesn't go from this screen, until I try rebooting it a few times by holding the power button.

Could it be because it needs to warm up?

Any other information you need, let me know.

What Operating System are you using? Windows XP/Vista?

Windows XP, I just installed an external hard drive. Seagate. It worked fine for a few days, then I tried installing a friend's game, Dragon Age, and found out my Video card was too old to run it, so I updated, thinking that would solve the problem. It didn't, a day later this started happening, I rolled back my video drive, but this still happens

I just noticed this message on start up, not sure if it was there before this whole problem started:
Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A06

does this have anything to do with my problem?
