Black Screen in Video/Games

Hello
Awhile back I started getting this problem while watching movies or playing games. The screen would freeze, so I couldn't move my mouse at all, then the monitor would go black, as if there were no video connected to it. I just recently bought a new PSU (PC&power cooling silencer 750) so i don't think it is that. I have 2 8800gt SC in SLI, so is it possible that maybe one of those is defective? I also have not overclocked my stock q6600 yet.

Try one video card at a time to rule that out. I had two cards in SLI go bad at two different times one at a time. Just disable SLI mode first.

Before the hassle of removing the cards try installing the previous version of the SLI drivers. There have a been a few complaints about the new ones. If that doesn't work, do what splat said
