Black Screen During Rollback, No POST

It was explained to me that the new nVidia driver update was broken and that I should roll back my drivers to fix my mouse lag problem (Asus tech support line). Half way through the installation of the old drivers, the screen went black and when I tried to restart, I got one beep but nothing on the screen. Nothing at all, no POST messages or anything. I tried the following:

* Re-settling the card (removing and putting back in)
* Re-settling the RAM
* Reseting the BIOS using jumpers
* Using the other output on my video card (got nothing)


Lucky me the Asus A8N-E doesn't come with onboard video!

sure thats not a vga bios update?

The drivers could very well have included a BIOS update, but how could I fix that? I tried resetting the bios using the 1-2-3 jumpers.

no an update for the gfx cards bios

edit: sorry i can't be of much help on this topic but someone around this forum will be. its just that drivers only come in to effect once windows is loaded so that can't be causing it to not post.
