Default BIOS/Windows Clock always resets

Here is my dilemna, my windows clock/BIOS clock resets to 11:00 A.M. January 1, 2001, it only does it when the computer is unplugged. When i restart it, it retains time. I took out the CMOS battery and replaced it with a new one, no luck and also reset the CMOS jumper settings...any ideas ?

You are sure you got the proper battery? Then there is something wrong with the motherboard's circut that provides battery power to the cmos chip or the chip itself is NFG. You can try reflashing the bios to the latest version.

Usually this is caused by a bad or old CMOS battery.
