Default Biometric password help

I had files encrypted on my hard drive with ano APC brand password scanner . They are now discontinued so no tech support from them is available .The scanner got wet and ruined it . My files should still be on my drive . Can anyone help me to decrypt them somehow ? Thanks for any advice you can offer . The operating system is windows xp
