All I did was glue the plastic bit back on.

hey, thanks for that info...the problem is that i cant find the plastic bit.
the cable goes in now bu tdoesnt lock on.
So as long as it detects it im good, i can get the data out, then i can goto best buy and return it since i bought the same kind yesterday.

i wanna thank you cos... I GOT IT TO WORK!!!!, i dint have the black bit cos i lost it so i just plugged it in after my mangger straightened out the pins and its working.
Im almost done backing up my stuff then im gonna retur this.

i didnt use any tape since i lost the small black piece.
i just plugged it in, it was loose but worked.
I got all the data out now im gonna return it to best buy to get my money back OR i could have another spare hdd...

I got this 320gb seagate, the same one we suggest ppl to get from newegg...this one wasnt oem so i got everything and i paid $60.

So is it worth it? or should i just return it?
