Well, its a pretty long story so Ill explain as clearly as I can...

I had an AMD athlon 64bit MB in my pc... until one day my pc just stopped working... After looking around inside the case, I noticed that there was a scorch mark and something had blown up..

So i went online and bought exactly the same MB brand new and had it delivered... Took the old MB out, put the new one in.. started up PC and it worked fine...

but now some of my games perform very badly, I was getting an average of 500fps on medal of honor before, and now I have 24.... but games like BF2 and CSS which are pretty high spec run with no problem on here. Ive tried reinstalling AA numerous times but to no avail

Im not much of a technical wiz, but i think the problem is maybe to do with DirectX?

I had up to version 7 installed on the old MB and when I put the new one in, i just downloaded 9.0c and installed that... is this the problem?

If someone could help me, it would be much appreciated!

first off... what kind of mobo is it exactly? Second, I think it might be direct x. third, You mean 50 right?

nope i mean 500... usually between 400-500

I have an AMD athlon 64 FX-1 Processor with MMX and 3dNow (2.2ghz)
