Question Backup Restore Glitches

Hi guyz,

my first post in this forum.Hope i will see light.

I had some problem in my 80 GB (seagate 7200rpm) harddisk, so i had to format the total hard disk.I took the backup of the 2 of my important partition (one in fat32 and one in ntfs ) 2 one file whose size was 43 GB.I copied that file to one of my 200 GB (Seagate 10500 rpm). Then after formatting and installing win xp pro again started restoring the files from my backup.i made two folders to restore the respective files to the folders (meeans d drive backup will go to one folder and e drive backup will go to another folder). After everything is finished when i tried to copy one folder or file from let's say "d" folder to "e" folder, that is not copys success fully but when i try to access that file or folder ,it says "access denied".Another thing if i copy the same file to anothe drive like c or something then it works

plz help me

Read through this post real quick and see if all of this doesn;t sound a little too complicated.
The box said \"Requires Windows 98 or better\" I installed Linux. There\'s no going back.
