I just saw one topic on this forum describing a problem someone had with his front audio jacks and microphone. I have a similar problem as well. My front microphone and audio jacks on the back work fine, but when I try to connect the front audio cable to my motherboard, I am required to take off two jumpers. Somehow, after doing this, the sound from the back ports don't work anymore.
I'm pretty sure that my DFI P4M266A-MLV motherboard supports front audio because it says "Audio Jacks and Front Audio" in the manual. Somehow, though, my motherboard has a pin for Audio Out and Audio Return and my case's connectors only have an Audio Out. Also, my case has a ground connector, whereas the motherboard doesn't have a pin for it.
Am I doing something wrong?
