I bought a PC(1) that had a creative sound card installed. I removed the card and put it in my other PC(2) now I cannot get the sound to work on PC(1) that had the creative sound card removed. When I go to Control Panel: Sound and Audio Devices everything is grayed out. I think I have to reinstall some driver but I have no idea what kind of motherboard it has. Is there anyway to find out what make and model motherboard you have using Windows, so I can find the proper drivers??

Hello,

Slightly confused...

So you've removed the creative sound card from PC 1, but does PC 1 still have an audio device - did you insert a different sound card into PC 1, re-insert your creative sound card into PC 1 or are you trying to use onboard audio on the motherboard?

Hello,

Yep sounds like you need to install an audio driver for your onboard audio. Be sure to enable your onboard audio in your BIOS settings first through.

CPU-Z will tell you the manufacturer and model of your motherboard.
