Default ati video card problems.

Hello. First off, I built a computer with the following parts- xion II case with stock power supply, gigabyte motherboard, athlon 2800 cpu,160 gb hard drive, cr/rw drive, 1 gb ram, and an ati radeon x700 pro agp video card. Ok, my problem is, when i play the bfme2 beta my computer starts to lag and it gets worse until it finally goes to a black screen and a message comes up that says "your video graphics accelerator was reset because it was no longer responding to video commands." Someone please help me. I have the latest video card drivers(catalyst 6.1), and i've put the settings on ultra low. My computer seems to work fine on other games but it stinks at running strategy games. Can someone please help me out? Thanks
