Have you tried installing the drive on a different computer? If so, and you experienced the same problem, the drive could be defective. Also, make sure all RAID configurations are disabled. If you tried it on another computer and it worked succesful, try flashing your BIOS, also try resetting your CMOS. If that doesn't work, I would suspect your motherboard may be the problem. Try re-installing Windows as well, that is if you actually have the patience to do that.
