Anyway to get wifi without a wifi card?

My friends laptop can not use wifi because his wifi card overheates and breaks. I was wondering if you could plug something like a wifi dongle into the laptop to be able to use wifi without a wifi card?

Sure can. That dongle will probably give him better speeds than his onboard card, too.

Things like the telstra 3G ultimate device or the newer 4G device are things that can be used without a wifi card. Wifi cards are usually inbuilt in newer PC's but that depends on the age of the PC. Now wireless is no where near as good as LAN but at the same time it is easier to setup so it depends on what you want
