We have a Gateway FPD2185W monitor that has been in operation for over 2 years now. The only complaint I have is that when the monitor is hooked up to a computer and turned on, there is a VERY annoying popup window right in the center of the screen that depicts the video input (DVI, VGA, etc). This window remains in the middle of the screen for several seconds before fading away.
I thought this problem had to do with the previous computer it was mated to (Dell). Recently, we dumped the Dell and hooked the monitor up to a Mac Mini. On the first hookup, this annoying window flashed on the screen and almost immediately disappeared. However, now it remains on screen as long as it did with the Dell.
Does ANYONE know how to turn this annoying "input" message off forever? We would certain appreciate solving this "riddle".
