Default Angry gamer

To my fellow techies and gamers, I need your help. I recently upgraded my processor from an Intel Celeron D @ 3.14 Gh/z to a new Intel Duo Core Processor @ 2.13 Gh/z. Now whenever I play any games, from WoW to AoE III, my computer freezes, I get no power to my keyboard, and my headset replays the last .5 seconds of sound. My idea is that while i have Duel cores and a higher Front Side Bus, I don't have the Gh/z to game anymore... Someone help

Down with pants, up with skirts!

a c2d is faster per ghz so I don't think that is your problem. However I'm not sure what would cause that besides a bad cpu.
