Hi I have a Compaq Presatio Computer and a 19" Samsung SyncMaster 193p monitor. They have worked fine together for a few years but recently my monitor tends to shut down on its own.. it will go to a black screen and then say analog/digital/going to sleep.. then it shuts down. Was wondering if anyone knew what might be causing this error.. Also on occasion I get little boxes all over my screen it perfect columns, would this be a result of my gfx card or something I can fix easily?

Oh also when my monitor shuts down I have to restart my computer for it to work again.. and sometimes it will do it right after the Windows loading screen causing me to restart several times to get it to work..

Try reinstalling your drivers, with the latest ones, with Driver Cleaner Pro. Follow the ReadMe instructions.

Also, what card do you have? How old is it? Does this just happen randomly, or while gaming? What are your temps? Use ATiTool or RivaTuner to check to see what your card's temperatures are.
