If he had to install a sound card to use this joystick, it cant be usb.

lol nick you playing with a old serial joystick? I have one someware tiny thing with two buttons very small stick I have had it since i was 6 or 7 till works as far as i know. If i dig out my USB to serial adapter I might just fire it up again. Or I will just dig out my old windows 95 machine an play 3D stunts or Falcon interceptor.

Sound cards dont tend to support USB I still can't get it to work properly, i used to have it on my old machine with with flight simulator 98 and it ran fine..
