Acer Aspire 7551-7422 Sound Issue

Every time i plug my power cable in or pull it out i get a loud beep from the speakers, and the HDD light blinks for a moment? Any ideas? Its also brand new, ive had it for 3 weeks and it hasnt done this till now.

My Acer does this too. It's meant to; it tells you when the power has been disconnected. Did you perhaps have it muted in the three weeks before now?

You can turn it off by uninstalling the Beep driver - go to the Device Manager. Click the View option at the top, and make sure Show Hidden Devices is ticked. Then, go to Non-Plug and Play Drivers, right-click on Beep and uninstall it.

Keep in mind there's no way to undo this as far as I know.
