Hi there,
So, I was stupid and didn't do enough research when I bought a new PSU.
here is my mobo, as you can see it has an 8 pin cpu power connector.
I bought this PSU : Newegg.com - XION XON-630P12N 630W ATX12V Power Supply 115/ 230 V RoHS, UL, CE, CB, CSA, FCC, TUV, Demko, Nemko, SEMCO - Power Supplies which has a 4 pin one.
Now, I have read a few places that I can still get away with using the 4 pin in the 8 pin slot, and while it does fit, I don't want' to risk frying anything. So can I just use the 4 pins as is, or do I have to return it,(in which case I am having a lot of trouble finding a PSU with the 8 pin connector), or can I get away with one of these: Newegg.com - LOGISYS AD202 12V Molex to 8pin P8 Adapter - Adapters & Gender Changers or these: PA-P4-E8
thanks a bunch!
