Hello I am wondering if it could be possible that the thermal diode on my processor could be toast. My processor idols at about 65C and under load it goes up to 78C. Its weird cuz I tried another CPU I had (a 3200 venice) and the temps were very cool (35C). I know the heatsink/fan is secure as I have triple checked that, along with trying to remove the stock thermal compound and applying AS Ceramique. Even when the chip hits close to 80C, everything is rock solid, no crashes, bluescreens, or hiccups, it just runs like normal. Any ideas???

BTW the mobo in this computer is a Soltek SL-NF4Pro-939

I tried updating the bios, tried different software in windows, and I also used the bios itself to check temps, they are all the same. But the other processor i tried seems normal

i have a 3500+ and it runs 26-30*c on idle and 30-37*C on full load, sounds to me like a worned out sensor, try touching the heatsink and see if its really that hot if so then double check if the heatsink is in good comtact with the cpu
