Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum, i have a little issue with my router, it is only sending 2 megabits per second via wireless wifi but it is receiving over 30 megabits per second, i am tracking the speed via speedtest on my iphone for wifi and speedtestDOTcom for the the desktop.

Is there anything i can do to fix my signal or has my router just gone bad?
the router is a "linksys Wrt310n" wireless N router.

Thanks!!!!

It could be a number of things - wireless speed tends to be affected by a lot more factors.

You could be using a crowded channel or you might have interference from other wireless devices. Xirrus Wifi Inspector is a useful tool for seeing what your situation looks like.

Depending on what your settings are, you may not be getting the most out of your wireless-N. However, even then you should be getting way more than 2 mbps, but it's hard to say.
