So 1st build is off to a great start.
Power on -- fans spin with no display on monitor, start smelling burning computer parts. Quickly turned off power. After poking around, I figured out that I had the power supply on 220V instead of 115V. So this is obviously bad, but I'm trying to figure out how bad. From reading on the forums it looks like my CPU is probably screwed, but what about the RAM and mother board.
This probably isn't a common problem, but speculation is welcome. And how would I go about testing the functionality of the different parts if I don't have another comp. to drop them in?
