So today I fixed the wife's toshiba laptop. that she left on the couch, in which the dog couldn't contain the joy from noticing that and knocked it off. Broke the charger and knocked the jack loose inside the laptop.

I must admit I thought the toshiba was poorly built before i took it apart. I was amazed at the ease in which it came apart but no longer surprised it was so cheap. The actual chassis that held the jack in place was bent.

The second part is a system I am working on. It is a custom built pc. all I get is a green led on mb and the front light for reset. when I press power nothing happens. I removed the ram and nothing. removed video card and nothing. I do not have a power supply tester is there another way I can the power supply?

thanks for the response! I didn't think to research for the kind of psu! I haven't worked on it recently.. It is not a top priority and when I get a chance I will test it out and report back the results.
